As you are aware, Abbotsford Public School was made non-operational today 15 September 2021 for the onsite attendance of staff and students due to a member of the community who tested positive to COVID-19.
The NSW Department of Education and NSW Health have been working closely to ensure the health and safety of all students and staff is maintained. This work has included identifying close contacts of the confirmed case.
The students and staff identified as close contacts have been notified and asked to self-isolate for the required period.
The school has been thoroughly cleaned and our school will be operational from Thursday 16 September 2021 for any child who is unable to learn from home.
The Abbotsford Community Centre OOSH will be operational as well.
The safety and wellbeing of our staff and students is of paramount importance to us at all times. As such we will continue to work closely with NSW Health to ensure that all necessary health advice is adhered to.
