Our principal and staff
Our school team is committed to every student’s learning, wellbeing and sense of belonging. We work together to create a supportive and inclusive school where every child is set up for success.
Welcome from our principal
“Welcome to our school community on Wangal land, where we proudly celebrate a century of learning and belonging. Our emblem, the Bar-tailed Godwit, symbolises the endurance, adaptability and strong connections that guide our work each day. These remarkable birds migrate from the Parramatta River to nesting grounds around the Arctic Ocean, demonstrating both personal resilience and the strength found in travelling together.
In the same way, our school is enriched by a community that works collaboratively to support every learner. Our dedicated P&C and out-of-school-hours care team provide a wraparound service that helps children embrace challenges, think creatively and grow with confidence. With the care and commitment of our staff, each student is empowered to flourish and, like the Godwit, take flight towards their highest potential.
We are delighted to welcome you and invite you to explore our website to discover the vibrant, inspiring place our school has become over the past 100 years.”
Chris Johnson, Principal of Abbotsford Public School
