Stories and highlights

I have loved coming to Kindergarten this year, exploring new places and making lots of friends. My favourite activities in class were handwriting, mapping, spelling tricky words, and enjoying excursions like Featherdale Wildlife Park and the Riverside Theatre. Fun activities like Peer Support with our Stage 3 foster buddies and learning about animals and performances have made Kindergarten so exciting!

Sahib - Kindergarten

A standout experience in my Stage 1 year was our excursion to Sydney Aquarium, where I saw many fascinating sea creatures. I also enjoyed learning about the Great Barrier Reef and mangroves in Geography and creating underwater artworks that made our classroom look like we were under the sea. Fun class games such as four corners, along with sport activities like kickball, have helped make this a wonderful year.

Charlie - Stage 1

One of the best highlights of my year was the Stage 2 camp to Narrabeen, where I spent three days and two nights kayaking, cooking damper, doing archery and more. In class, I discovered my love of free verse poetry and metaphors, and I especially enjoyed learning from Kirli Saunders, a proud Gunai woman who even visited our school for an author talk. All these experiences and new skills have made this my best year yet!

Lyndsey - Stage 2

Stage 3 has been full of fun and learning, from making hybrid texts and adding fractions to designing our own natural disaster management plan. Some of my favourite moments were running our own Fun Day stall and visiting Canberra, exploring museums like Questacon and trying the amazing 7-metre slide. These experiences have made Stage 3 a very exciting year, and I look forward to more adventures next year!
