Community involvement
Parents and Citizens Association (P&C)
A Parents & Citizens (P&C) Association is a school-based organisation open to parents, teachers, students and community members who wish to support the school. The P&C:
- encourages parent engagement in school life
- represents families and raises concerns when needed
- helps provide facilities and equipment for student welfare through fundraising, lobbying and grant applications
- discusses, recommends and votes on how funds are allocated
- supports school events and activities
- elects a representative to the School Council (typically the P&C President)
- advocates to Local, State and Federal Government on issues affecting the school
Joining the P&C a great way to meet other families, get involved and contribute to our school's future. We would love to have you on board!
P&C meetings
P&C general meetings are usually held on the 3rd Wednesday evening of each month, except for the first week of term and during holidays. They are held in the Staffroom or via Zoom, from 7:30 pm to about 9:00 pm.
An Annual General Meeting is held early in Term 1. The financial audit is presented at this meeting and office bearers are elected for the year. All meetings are advertised in the school newsletters with regular reports and minutes provided to interested members.
