Our co-curricular highlights
Earthlings
Students come together each week to build environmental responsibility, teamwork and leadership skills through the Earthlings program. Led by our Stage 3 student leaders, Earthlings take part in hands-on sustainability activities such as collecting classroom compost, gardening and caring for the school chickens. The program encourages collaboration across year groups while nurturing a shared commitment to caring for our school environment.
P&C Music program
Students have the opportunity to participate in Percussion Ensemble, String Ensemble, Beginner Strings, Concert Recorders, Rock Band and Ukulele Club. These extra-curricular groups are open to students of all ages and experience levels. Ensembles perform regularly at school events, with selected groups also representing the school at local community and state-level events. Instrument hire and private tuition are also offered, with qualified teachers providing lessons after school hours.
Student leadership teams
Year 6 students are elected annually to serve on one of five leadership committees – Community, Environment, Resources, Wellbeing and Sports. Student leaders demonstrate respect, uphold school values and model positive behaviour while supporting staff and peers. With the guidance of a staff mentor, each team meets weekly to implement programs, raise funds and gather feedback from students and teachers, building strong leadership, communication and responsibility skills.
School Camps
Students in Stage 2 (Years 3–4) and Stage 3 (Years 5–6) take part in overnight camps each year, providing valuable opportunities for personal growth, independence and hands-on learning beyond the classroom.
Stage 2 Camps
Stage 2 students attend a two-night, three-day camp each year. In odd years, they visit the Sydney Academy of Sport and Recreation in Narrabeen. In even years, they attend The Tops Conference Centre in Stanwell Tops. These camps focus on teamwork, confidence-building and trying new activities in a safe, supportive environment.
Stage 3 Camps
Stage 3 students also attend an annual camp. In odd years, students travel to Canberra for a two-night, three-day educational program exploring the nation’s capital and key civics and heritage sites. In even years, they attend Milson Island Sport and Recreation Centre in Milsons Passage for four nights and five days of outdoor challenges, skill-building and leadership activities.
